WHO IS PIEA?

The Photo Imaging Education Association (PIEA) is a special-interest area of PMA®, the world’s largest photographic industry association. Membership consists of professionals engaged in the administration and teaching of educational programs in photography and digital imaging at all levels.

Uniting those who see the extraordinary in the ordinary, the Photo Imaging Education Association (PIEA) inspires its members to become better teachers at every level of education. PIEA is an international network of educators and students creating resources, solving problems, sharing ideas, and building stronger relationships with the photo industry. Our goal is to inform, support and connect teachers of photography at all levels of education: elementary, middle, junior high, high school, college, university, graduate and workshop. • Solutions to problems in education, as solved by others, for teachers to use

• Annual International Student-Teacher Photo Exhibition and Competition, exhibited at PMA, with thousands of dollars in prizes donated by supportive manufacturers and distributors – members are eligible for reduced entry fees for their students and themselves

• Members can receive discounts on registration for educator workshops, roundtable discussions and lectures at national PMA meetings

Only PIEA members in goodstanding login or create a new website login account on pieapma.org. Note that all new accounts require a passpharse to register on this site. This is provided by PMA or PIEA when you join and/or renew your membership.

Tip: You may want to use the PMA-suppled ID & password when registering on this site so that you only need to keep track of one set of IDs & passwords (optional.) The PMA-supplied ID & password are used to gain access to the pmai.org website. You may register with any user ID & password comination.

A note about passwords All passwords are encrypted on the PIEA website, and not even the webmaster has access to passwords stored on pieapma.org.

NOTE: In order to register on this site, you must first submit the passphrase you were issued by PIEA. You can do this on the homepage: 'New User Registration.'  The passphrase is not required after you are registered on the pieapma.org website.
